Manczuk was born Jan. 6, 1922, she attended Port Chester schools before moving to Poland in 1932. After marriage she managed the family farm before returning to the U.S. in 1955.

Port Chester Middle School is hosting a 5K race on Friday, Oct. 24, featuring a day of action with superhero themed concession stands, crafts, balloon animals, with proceeds benefiting the medical bills of Brandon Rojas, the son of a school security guard who was diagnosed with adrenoleukodystrophy . Those who wish to participate in the runs can pre-register for a Children's Fun Run $5 or a 5K walk/run; $25 Adult, $5 child, or $50 family registration.
