The incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. on North Main Street when members of the department's Narcotics Squad "observed one man, seated in a car, hand another, on foot, 30 small bags containing what was later determined to be heroin," according to Chief Richard Conway. Both were apprehended, and while searching the vehicle, police uncovered an additional 57 bags of heroin, an undisclosed amount of cash and drug sales records.
